This tool is a web-based RSS workbench and requires some basic knowledge of RSS.

Radar Admin

Using Radar Admin, you could create your own new radar or update existing radar in one of three ways:

  1. Load RSS feeds and attach them to a radar
  2. Import OPML (Outline Process Markup Language) file and attach imported feeds to a radar
  3. Use a combination of first two methods

You could also edit and/or delete your radars and feeds.

The service is free and all you need to do is to register.

When your Radar is created, you can check it out on My Radars or Private Radars page. The Radar indexing to create Tag Cloud will be done within 24 hours.

You could also use Radar Wizard – an interactive easy-to-use online tool, which makes the Radars creation as easy as just a regular Web Search.

Using Radar Admin

Welcome to Radar Admin workbench!

As valued RadarFarms member you are entitled to create and maintain up to 5 radars, or information channels, comprising total of 75 RSS feeds - free of charge. Please follow instructions below to create and publish radars dedicated to specific subjects of your interest.

You can create your own radar in one of three ways:

  1. Load RSS feeds and attach them to a radar
  2. Import OPML file and attach imported feeds to a radar
  3. Use a combination of first two methods

To create new radar using RSS feeds, follow these steps:

  1. Go to My Radars page and create new radar by entering your radar name description and properties. My Radars is the default page when you log in Radar Admin.
  2. After new radar has been set up in RadarFarms, go to Load My Feeds page and add RSS feeds that you would like to use for this radar
  3. Finally, go to Select RadarFarms Feeds page where you can attach your own or public RadarFarms feeds to your radar.

To create new radar using OPML import, follow these steps:

  1. Go to My Radars page and create new radar by entering your radar name description and properties
  2. After new radar has been set up in RadarFarms, go to OPML Import page, upload OMPL file, and attach imported RSS feeds to your radar.

Radar Admin also allows you to edit or delete your radars and feeds.

My Radars page

This page is used to add new radars, and edit or delete your existing radars.

To add new radar:

  1. Click on New button
  2. Enter your radar name
  3. Enter radar description
  4. Enter a tag or tags describing your radar in Tag field separated by semi-column
  5. Check Active checkbox to make your radar ready for publishing
  6. If you want your radar to be viewed by others when it is published on RadarFarms, check Viewable checkbox.
  7. Click on Save button – new radar appears in Radar List grid.

To edit existing radar:

  1. Click on Edit button beside the radar you wish to edit – selected radar information appears in the top form
  2. Modify radar name, description or properties
  3. Click on Save button

To delete existing radar:

  1. Click on Edit button beside the radar you wish to delete – selected radar information appears on the top form
  2. Click on Delete button – deleted radar is removed from Radar List grid.
